Edjigo Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Edjigo, a digital platform for sports development and athlete management. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Edjigo's services, websites, mobile applications, and related products (collectively, the "Platform"). By using Edjigo, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

Jurisdictional Use: Edjigo is operated under the laws of the United Kingdom. Users from other countries are responsible for ensuring their use of the Platform complies with their local laws and regulations.

2. User Types and Eligibility

Edjigo supports multiple types of users:

• Organisation Admins: Manage an organisation and its associated Coaches.
• Coaches: Manage athlete groups within organisations.
• Parents: Manage family accounts and linked Athletes (children).
• Athletes: Participate in training, events, and feedback.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Edjigo directly. Athletes under 16 must be registered by a parent or guardian.

3. Account Registration and Responsibilities

Each user must:

• Provide accurate personal information (name, email, phone, etc.)
• Set a secure password
• Keep login credentials confidential
• Ensure any content uploaded is lawful and appropriate

Organisation Admins can:

• Invite, add, or remove Coaches

Coaches can:

• Invite, add, or remove Athletes and linked Parents
• Create events, articles, and feedback for Athletes

Parents can:

• Add/remove children to a family account
• Add co-parents who may view child-related content

4. Use of the Platform

Users may use the Platform to:

• View and manage athlete profiles
• Schedule and respond to events
• Publish or access content (e.g., articles, feedback)
• Upload media (e.g., photos, videos)

All content and activity must comply with these Terms and applicable law.

5. Privacy and Data Access

Edjigo collects and processes personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

• Only Organisation Admins and Coaches approved into a team/group can view athlete data.
• Parents and co-parents may view only their own children's data.
• Data processing for minors requires parent or guardian consent.

6. Content and User Submissions

Users retain ownership of their uploaded content (e.g., profile data, photos, videos, comments). By submitting content, you grant Edjigo a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and share it as needed to operate the Platform.

You may not:

• Upload infringing, offensive, or unlawful content
• Misuse content shared by other users

6A. Intellectual Property

• Edjigo Ltd owns all intellectual property in the Platform (software, branding, design, features).
• You may not copy, distribute, modify, or commercialise any part of Edjigo without written permission.
• User-generated content remains the property of the submitting user.

6B. Data Ownership and Portability

• User-contributed data (e.g., athlete metrics, history, feedback) remains under user control.
• Edjigo may aggregate and anonymise this data for analytics and platform improvement.
• Parents and users may request data export or deletion by contacting support.

7. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Edjigo may offer paid subscriptions to:

• Clubs (organisation-wide access)
• Coaches (professional use)
• Families (advanced tracking, content access)

Future in-app purchases may be offered. Payment terms, renewal, and cancellation are governed by applicable app store policies and/or separate subscription terms.

8. Code of Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliations
• Violate laws or these Terms
• Attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Platform

Edjigo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. Edjigo may suspend or terminate access if:

• You violate these Terms or any applicable laws
• Required by law enforcement or regulation

9A. Data on Termination

• On account closure, personal data will be deleted or archived per our retention policy.
• Aggregated data may be retained in anonymised form.
• You may request a data export prior to termination.

10. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Edjigo disclaims any liability for:

• Errors or interruptions
• Loss of data
• Security breaches outside its reasonable control

Beta Features: Some features may be released in a beta or test phase. These may contain bugs or limitations and are provided "as is" without any warranties.

11. Third-Party Services

• Edjigo may use third-party services (e.g., hosting, payments, analytics). Their terms of service and privacy policies also apply.
• Edjigo is not liable for issues arising from third-party services beyond our control.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Edjigo shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities

13. Changes to These Terms

Edjigo may update these Terms from time to time. Users will be notified of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Platform after changes indicates acceptance.
